Patricia Santana

Ms. Erileiny Santana (Ms. Patricia) is a Dominican mother of two children who has worked at Rock Creek Montessori School for 3 years. She has served as an Assistant in both the Young Children’s Community and Children’s House environments. In addition, she serves as Director of After Care programming.

Ms. Patricia has 16 years of combined childcare experience, attended high school in the Dominican Republic, and has studied coursework in childhood development. She originally trained to be a hairdresser, but after a few years, she felt a call to work with children and began to work as a babysitter. She then had her first child, and so began her passion of working and preparing herself to serve children.

She enjoys working with children because she deeply believes in the power of love, play, and listening. She loves to accompany them in their discoveries and help them grow safely while being a part of their first important experiences. Ms. Patricia believes that each child has their own pace, and her role is to respect it, support them, and provide them with an environment full of trust, respect, and joy. For her, working with children is not just a profession; it is a vocation through which she learns new things from the children every day.
