Yanira Portorreal (they/she)

Ms. Yanira is our school-wide Float Assistant and After Care Assistant. They studied child development during high school and obtained their 90 hours of child development at Montgomery College. They have worked at Rock Creek for over a year, and have worked with children most of their life as a babysitter, nanny, and now as a Montessori Assistant. They enjoy working with children and are passionate about making a positive impact.

They enjoy junk journaling, video games, walking in the fall, reading, and watching “Booktube.” They love anything cozy and have a deep appreciation for trees.
