Julia is a DC-area native and proud RCMS parent. With both of her children enrolled at the school, she is a true believer in the power of quality Montessori education.
Before her career in the private sector, Julia spent nearly a decade working in the U.S. Congress, where public service wasn’t just a job, it was a calling. That spirit of giving back has stuck with her and joining the Parent Leadership Team is one of the ways she gets to live it out a little closer to home.

Julia now leads the federal legislative and advocacy practice at a government relations firm, where she represents education and healthcare nonprofits, and spends most of her time developing strategies, building relationships, and figuring out how to get things done in Washington for her clients. This experience translates well to her role on the Parent Leadership Team, whether that’s helping navigate institutional relationships, thinking through how the parent community organizes and operates, or simply rolling up her sleeves wherever needed.

Julia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from Virginia Tech and a Master’s in Public Policy from George Mason University. Outside of work, you’ll find her traveling, chasing down the best hiking trails, and soaking up time with her family.

Take care and talk soon!
